Job Description

Are you a creative, energetic and customer-focused individual looking for that career-enhancing role? If so, Nesta is looking for a Learning Services Manager to join our Innovation Skills team and provide leadership and direction for the growth of the Alliance for Useful Evidence’s Masterclass programme, plus other workshops and events.

About Nesta

Nesta is a global innovation foundation. We back new ideas to tackle the big challenges of our time. Our mission is to spark and shape new ideas that improve how the world works for everyone. We use our knowledge, networks, funding and skills - working in partnership with others, including governments, businesses and charities. We are a UK charity but work all over the world, supported by a financial endowment.

Nesta’s Alliance for Useful Evidence champions the use of evidence in social policy and practice. We stimulate the demand and smarter use of evidence in decision-making across government, practitioners, charities, and service delivery organisations through research and ideas, advice and advocacy and training and skills.

About this exciting opportunity

Our successful candidate’s primary focus will be on the operational management and coordination of the learning programme and ensuring the programme’s efficient and effective delivery. However, you will also work closely alongside external and internal experts to develop new partnerships and content for evidence training, plus provide support to Nesta programme leaders to scale our learning offers. You will also be expected to:

  • Manage and develop partner/commissioner/funder relationships
  • Host and help to facilitate workshops
  • Monitor key milestones and resources, track project budgets and deadlines, and organise meetings with stakeholders and project partners
  • Maintain a schedule of services and calendar of external events
  • Act as a point of contact for enquiries about learning offers
What we are looking for

You will have a proven track record in developing and designing high quality learning products and services, and facilitating workshops with adults. An outstanding communicator, verbal and written, you will also have relevant experience in the field of evidence and evaluation and an understanding of policy making, plus strong project management, relationship-building and budgetary skills. The ability to work to tight deadlines and work on multiple projects are also key duties.
