If so, Nesta is looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and take the lead on the organisation’s annual financial accounts and contribute significantly to the delivery of a high-performing and trusted team.

About the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this key role will see our successful candidate assist with the preparation of the individual annual report and accounts for all Nesta entities, as well as the production of Nesta’s consolidated annual report and accounts. You will also be responsible for the accounting of the Nesta Trust endowment fund and reporting on movements on investment. You will also be expected to:

  • Oversee the reconciliation of the monthly payroll and reviewing changes on individuals gross and net pay
  • Lead the timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts across all entities
  • Reconcile inter-company transactions and prepare inter-company journals and invoices
  • Compile the monthly Trust VAT return and the quarterly group VAT return
To secure this exciting opportunity

A fully qualified accountant, preferably with a degree, you will have strong technical and reporting skills, plus experience of working with numerous entities and consolidating accounts. You will be an impressive communicator, both verbal and written, with an adaptable, flexible and deadline-driven approach to work.

The ability to multi-task, reprioritise and influence outcomes with rationale and analysis is essential, while experience with SUN v6 and Vision Q&A and working in a charitable organisation would be advantageous.
