Is Applied’s AI Assistant compliant with EU AI Act?
As of January 2025, Applied has completed the full risk assessment, built a risk report for authorities, and created the AI usage policy, AI literacy plan and training.
Applied is fully compliant with all UK data security requirements, including GDPR and the EU AI Act. We store all data securely and are pretty proud of our Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

How do you ensure the AI Assistant is built responsibly?
Applied’s AI Screener has been designed from the ground up using principles of responsible hiring. Key aspects include: (1) Utilises skills-based questions as the primary screening method (2) Rigorous validation of the AI against Applied’s historical proprietary data, sourced from a bias-free environment (3) Personalised fine-tuning by hiring teams takes place within an environment grounded in behavioural science principles that minimise bias (4) The AI Assistant does not use any personally identifiable information when scoring candidates (5) Implementation of scoring rubrics and calibration measures to prevent AI hallucinations or scoring based on irrelevant factors.
